THE RANIERI FILES Studio SoybloQ

As a pixel artist and art director for “The Ranieri Files,” I developed the visual design for the Game Boy prequel to “M.S. Salmon,” evolving the original art style into a new, standalone experience. Building on the visual identity of the main game, I created a consistent 8-bit pixel art style for characters, environments, and graphical elements, while also adapting the graphics to the technical limitations of the Game Boy hardware.

“The Ranieri Files” is set in the world of “M.S. Salmon” and tells a new story filled with neon lights, salty sea air, and a mysterious case waiting to be solved. Players take on the role of an investigator who follows clues, battles enemies in turn-based combat, and explores a world inspired by classic 2D adventures. The project expands the “M.S. Salmon” universe with a two-hour Game Boy experience that combines nostalgic pixel art aesthetics with a fresh visual interpretation.
